Here is this week’s list of open and serving Harlem restaurants to try and support.

East Harlem: Sisters Cuisine

(www.sisterscuisineharlem.com, 212-410-3000)

Open Tuesdays through Sunday, 11 a.m.- 9 p.m., this Caribbean gem is offering their omnivore and vegetarian dishes like oxtail stew and the filling vegetable platter. Personally, I am fiending for one of their made-to-order roti with curry chickpeas and potatoes plus your protein of choice (mouth waters).

West Harlem: Sottocasa

(www.sottocasanyc.com, 646-928-4870, delivery & takeout)

I recently happened by a friend’s stoop party. The socially distanced and masked crew were imbibing on wine and going in on a couple of Sottocasa pizzas, including a Nutella dessert pizza. The seed was planted and I harvested it on Sunday, picking up their Salsiccia pie of tomatoes, mozzarella, hot Italian sausage and basil ($16). Brava!

North Harlem: Ruby’s Vintage

(www.rubysvintageharlem.com, 646-454-9899)

Newly reopened with reduced hours (daily 4-10 p.m.), Ruby’s Vintage is delivering their unique menu and now family meals too. Get 10% off when you place your order by calling the restaurant directly. Send a hello to owner Brian Washington Palmer who has been feeding Harlem for over 20 years.
