Bored? Suffering from pandemic shut-in? Searching for something fun to do alone or with loved ones? Search no more. Oscar-winner Ruth E. Carter is inviting you and the world to color with her with new drawings supplied every Tuesday.

Carter, a master of her craft, has shared her passion for design and art and teamed up with the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, which is slated to open its doors in Los Angeles in December, for the aptly-titled series, “Coloring with Ruth,” available at www.academymuseum.org/en/coloring-with-ruth.

Each Tuesday, Carter will share one of her sketches for fans to create masterpieces of their own. The illustrations are available to print and can also be downloaded from (and colored with) a smartphone. It’s made to be as easy as 1, 2, 3.

Carter has boundless creativity, earning her first Oscar for costume design for “Black Panther.” She is also part of Spike Lee’s “dream team” and worked with the legendary filmmaker on “School Daze,” her debut; “Malcolm X” and “Mo’ Better Blues” to name just a few. Her other credits include “Dolemite Is My Name” (Netflix) and up next is the much-anticipated sequel to “Coming to America.”
