Make America Great Again: Trump Must Go #139

Words such as “coup” and “civil war” have been flaunted lately by Trump, suggesting that his administration is under siege.
If so, then this is something of his own doing and while such intimations are not what we would support, he is a prisoner of his own conceits, a troubled leader who has made a most uncomfortable bed.
The snakes and alligators—to say nothing of the electrified fence with spikes at the southern border to deflect immigrants seeking entry—are signs of an emperor building a menacing moat around his castle.
Shakespeare said it very well—uneasy lies the head that wears the crown, and this orange-topped one is certainly beginning to feel the pressure and hostility that he has fomented since he took office.
Yes, we are pleased to see that there is growing discontent about his so-called leadership, that the impeachment process is at last underway, and that a torrent of subpoenas are being launched.
Even several of Trump’s loyal surrogates are on the verge of betraying him, and it was good to see another one deserting the ship last week when Kurt Volker, his former envoy to the Ukraine, felt the heat and took his leave.
Now, let’s see if Giuliani, Trump’s legal lieutenant, Pompeo his sergeant of arms, and Barr his hit man will also crumble as the barbarians at the gate, as Trump would see it, continue to amass their disgust and seek to topple his regime.
A coup and civil war are clearly part of his ongoing delusionary condition, figments of an imagination that perceives it is under attack.
To some extent, Trump is right, really right and that’s a good thing from our perspective. And let the heat intensify, let the Democrats solidify their arguments for his removal, and let the cry of the people reach the desk at the Oval Office.
For all the supposed ruckus, Trump should know that we are “cooing” but in a civil manner as we join those who say Make America Great Again—Trump Must Go!
