Nigeria Independence Day Parade takes Manhattan

Nigerians, Africans within and outside the continent and the entire diaspora (the Caribbean was well represented) came out Oct. 6, 2018, the first Saturday of October, to celebrate Africa’s most populous nation’s 58th Independence Day. The annual parade down Second Avenue topped off several days of great entertainment, including Ice Prince, fantastic music, food, examples of traditional and youthful culture and pride.
