Whoa! The New York African Restaurant Week has already begun! We have until Oct. 21 to visit more than 20 restaurants providing a prix fixe menu plus cooking classes, chef-hosted dinners and a food festival in Harlem.
This celebration of African cuisine, restaurants and chefs is an opportunity to support your local businesses and promote diverse voices in the global culinary movement. This festival has a commitment to community development and social impact in New York City.
Participating Harlem restaurants include Ponty Bistro (Senegalese), Londel’s (Southern), Tsion Café (Ethiopian), Le Baobab (West African), La Savane (African Fusion), Solomon & Kuff (Caribbean) and others. Lots of good food to be had.
This Saturday, Oct. 13, at MIST (@MISTHarlem, 46 W. 116th St., 646-738-3043, www.mistharlem.com) come enjoy a taste of Africa at the African Restaurant Week Festival. It is not to be missed!
