Black women's organizations 'Go Red' in Brooklyn

Last Friday, the Delta Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated held its annual Brooklyn Go Red: Feel the Beat Zumba Party at The Science and Medicine Middle School.
The event provided examples of how to build healthier lifestyles through dance, dietary discussions, fitness demonstrations, yoga and Zumba. It was part of the American Heart Association’s national Go Red initiative, which promotes public awareness about heart health and stroke.
Community partners included Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Psi Lambda Omega Chapter; Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Sigma Kappa Zeta Chapter; Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated, Eta Nu Omega Chapter; The Links, Incorporated, Brooklyn Chapter; The Girl Friends, Incorporated, Brooklyn Chapter; One Breath Incorporated; and The Science and Medicine Middle School.
