Sunday (July 29), the Committee to Eliminate Media Offensive to Afrikan People hosted two intellectual and Pan-African giants—Dr. Leonard Jeffries and Dr. Haki Madhubuti. They were there for a fundraiser for the John Henrik Clarke House in Harlem. Madhubuti, the keynote speaker, recounted his long and productive relationship with Dr. Clarke, who joined the ancestors in 1998. In his book “Notes for African World Revolution,” Clarke quoted Madhubuti, citing his comment that Black Americans were the only people who turned their children over to the enemy to be educated. Madhubuti praised Clarke, holding up two of the esteemed scholars’ books published by Third World Press, which was founded by Madhubuti in 1969.
