This weekend, put on your comfy shoes, pull out those jogger pants, buy a fresh pack of antacids and set your social media cameras to “beast mode” because it is the decade celebration of the Food Network and Cooking Channel New York City Wine & Food Festival. As the event always benefits No Kid Hungry Share Our Strength and Food Bank for New York City, you can do good while you eat good!
As per usual, there are myriad events happening from today, Oct. 12, until Sunday, Oct. 15, and at all price points, too. Some new events to the festival include NYC’s own Smorgasburg hosted by the cast of Chopped ($150), Pie vs. Cake hosted by Duff Goldman ($125), Late Night Adventures in Dean & Deluca with “Top Chef” judge Gail Simmons ($105) and Rooftop Iron Chef Showdown with Alton Brown ($215).
If you cannot decide or need a general experience, the backbone of the NYCWFF is always the Grand Tasting presented by ShopRite. There you can discover new food products, restaurants and chefs while sampling wines, beers and spirits in a convivial atmosphere with fellow food lovers.
Visit www.nycwff.org for more information, events and to purchase tickets. See you there!
