Interfaith Medical Center brings holiday cheer to patients, staff, Brooklyn community

Interfaith Medical Center recently celebrated the holiday season with their annual Winter Wonderland celebration. Children from surrounding schools and day care centers gathered to take part in the season’s festivities and meet Santa in the main conference room of IMC (1545 Atlantic Ave.) from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 15. Each child left Winter Wonderland with a gift and a commemorative photo with Santa.

A second holiday season event, Secret Santa, will be hosted Dec. 19. During this event, the hospital will distribute 300 gift cards to families from the surrounding area to help ease some of the financial worries that the holiday season can bring about.

“Winter Wonderland and Secret Santa have become holiday traditions for Interfaith,” said LaRay Brown, president and CEO of Interfaith Medical Center. “For many families it’s not easy to provide gifts for their children, and what should be a joyous time can become stressful. Thanks to our sponsors and the Interfaith Auxiliary, we’re able to relieve some of that burden and bring joy to youngsters in our community during this season of giving.”

Founded in 1845, Interfaith Medical Center is dedicated to providing health care and health care education to the residents of Kings County.
